IN THIS LESSON
Opening Thought:
Transformation is not an event—it’s a journey. As disciples of Jesus, our growth is ongoing. Step 11 reminds us that through prayer and conscious contact with God, we are continually shaped, refined, and renewed. This transformation doesn't just improve us; it makes us new. As we walk with Christ daily, we begin to reflect more of His character and less of our old selves.
-
Romans 12:2 – “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
-
According to Romans 12:2, transformation begins with the renewal of the mind. What does that look like in your daily walk with Christ?

Action Step: Commit to spending at least 5–10 minutes in quiet prayer or Scripture meditation each day this week. Before you begin each day, pray this:
“God, I want to be transformed by You today. Speak to me, renew my mind, and help me live like Jesus.”
Be prepared to share next time what changed for you.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, thank You for the ongoing work You are doing in each of our lives. We invite You to renew our minds, restore our hearts, and transform us daily. Help us to remain connected to You through prayer, to listen for Your voice, and to reflect Jesus in all that we do. Make us new creations every day. In Jesus' name, amen.
